Emily Fanjoy is the owner and manager of Peace Crops. She graduated from Knox College in 2006 with a degree in Spanish Literature, and went on to serve in the US Peace Corps as a Rural Health Technician in Guatemala from 2008 to 2010. She currently serves on the board of directors for Food Roots, a nonprofit dedicated to cultivating a healthy food system for the North coast of Oregon.
Jim Fanjoy, Emily’s husband, works on the farm as well. A practicing architect, he is licensed in several states and graduated from Ball State University in 1996. He served in the US Peace Corps alongside Emily, teaching indigenous Mayans how to build sanitary infrastructure, water containment and distribution systems, and a teachers’ college. Jim is an active beekeeper with the Tillamook County Beekeepers, and serves on the board of directors of the Tillamook Farmers’ Market and the Manzanita Farmers’ Market.
