At Peace Crops, we are interested in growing nutritious, healthy, whole foods in a way that works in harmony with the natural environment. Our farm is chemical free, using only organic inputs to produce our food. We use as few gas- and diesel-powered machines as possible, to decrease the amount of fossil fuels moving into the atmosphere.
We follow biointensive growing principles wherever we can, planting in deep-dug raised beds for greater soil health, with close plant spacings to reduce water usage and soil depletion. Our crops are rotated to rejuvenate the soil, and during off season we plant cover crops to maintain soil health. All the organic matter and farm byproducts that don’t make it to the kitchen table are composted and returned to the earth, closing the nutrient cycle.
